Intended Audience
This documentation is intended for individuals configuring Mach7 EIP or integrating other
applications with it. This requires a good understanding of the system architecture and detailed
knowledge of the specific implementation.
Intended Use / Indications for Use
The Mach7 EIP software system is intended to be used for archiving, communicating and viewing
medical imaging data using general purpose hardware running standard operating systems.
Archiving includes the storage of medical imaging studies, including related patient information
and reports, on standard storage devices.
Communication includes the movement of imaging data from one source system to a target
system using standard protocols such as DICOM. In communicating imaging data, metadata
associated to medical imaging data may be translated to ensure proper consumption into target
systems.
Mach7 EIP includes a non-diagnostic clinical and quality control (QC) viewer for viewing studies
during system administration and for QC activities. The viewer includes tools appropriate for QC
activities such as study reconciliation, study merging, study splitting, creating presentation states,
and leveraging measurements using information provided by modalities in DICOM files.
